Here's a question... We have lived in our wonderful Venice for almost 10 months now, we've been lucky in that we have no real major (or minor) complaints EXCEPT..
WHY IS MY MASTER CLOSET LIKE A MEAT LOCKER????
For an Energy Star Certified home it sure is breezy & cold in my closet! You can feel the air flowing under the door. It seems both bedrooms across the front of the house also stay on the cool side... Anyone else with this issue or suggestions on what could be causing this???
That's funny... our masterbedroom closet is the warmest part of our house... which is also a waste! I think the energy star stuff is a load of crap!
ReplyDeleteFront bedrooms are fine. MB closet is very cold. Think it has something to do with being over the garage.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, has you MB closet door developed a crack in the upper right corner, both inside and out? Ours has, and I've read another Venice blogger that has.
Sorry for the late reply. No, not noticing any cracks just the ridiculous temperature difference. I know it's over the garage but, silly me, when I asked about insulation in the garage & they said all sides in contact with living spaces would be insulated, I thought that would mean the ceiling/floor for the garage/master closet. Guess I should've been more specific.
